Copper ingot made of Cu99.9 with a 250 g unit weight

Material: Cu99.9 (CW004A)
Dimensions: approx. 64x30x15 mm
Melting Temperature: 1083°C (Liquidus Temperature)
Casting Temperature: 1150-1200°C
Density: 8.93 g/cm³

This is pure copper with a minimum of 99.9% copper content. It mostly serves as a basis for the production of alloys such as bronze or brass. Of course, pure copper can also be cast as is.
For ideal casting behavior, we recommend pouring the copper at 1150-1200°C and adding slag binder for copper and copper-based alloys to the melt beforehand.
The surface of the ingots is not polished and therefore slightly duller. Nevertheless, the material is clean and free of impurities.
The molding sand available in our shops is very well suited as a molding compound for brass castings.
