Ingot dimensions: approx. 50x20x115 mm
Melting temperature: 1083 °C (Liquidus temperature)
Casting temperature: 1150-1200 °C
Density: 8.93 g/cm³

This is pure copper with a minimum of 99.9% copper content. It is primarily used as a base for the production of alloys such as bronze or brass. Pure copper can, of course, also be cast as is.
For ideal casting behavior, we recommend pouring the copper at 1150-1200 °C and adding slag binder for copper and copper-based alloys to the melt beforehand.
The surface of the ingots is not polished and therefore appears somewhat dull. Nevertheless, the material is clean and free of impurities.
The molding sand available in our shops is very well suited as a molding compound for casting copper alloys.
