Ensures clean and optimally adhering soldering and tinning points

Pastin 830 tinning paste enables fast and clean tinning of surfaces made of copper, copper alloys, or steel. Although Pastin 830 is relatively universally applicable, it has been optimized for the area of copper pipe installation with tin-silver alloys such as SnAg3.

Before application, briefly stir or shake the paste again. Then, apply the paste to the area to be tinned with the brush. The paste is then carefully heated with a flame until liquid SnAg3 droplets and hydrochloric acid form on the surface, ideally preparing the surface locally for tinning. The SnAg3 droplets must be quickly spread with a lint-free cloth. The surface is then tinned. Only spread the tin once the paste has completely reacted. Afterward, you can immediately continue working with the appropriate solder. The acid produced during the reaction is corrosive and must be rinsed away promptly with water or mordant after the tinning/soldering process.

Surfaces that are prepared with pre-tinning pastes can be soldered or tinned very well and cleanly.

For soldering or tinning with tin-copper solders in sanitary applications, Pastin 803 is ideally suited.

In the bodywork area, Pastin 803, which is also optimized for it, should be used for lead-free solders, and Pastin 40 should be used for lead-containing solders.

In the area of copperware tinning and generally as a universal tinning paste, Pastin 100 is very well suited.

During processing, effective extraction/fresh air supply, e.g. also by ventilation, must be ensured due to the soldering fumes.

You can get Pastin 830 in an attractive combination with triangular rods made of the tin-silver solders SnAg3 and SnAg4.
