Description

Copper Ingots made of Cu99.9 with 250g piece weight

Material: Cu99.9 (CW004A)
Dimensions: approx. 64x30x15 mm
Melting Temperature: 1083°C (Liquidus Temperature)
Casting Temperature: 1150-1200°C
Density: 8.93 g/cm³

This is pure copper with a minimum of 99.9% copper content. It primarily serves as a base for producing alloys such as bronze or brass. Of course, pure copper can also be cast as is.
For ideal casting behavior, we recommend pouring the copper at 1150-1200°C and adding slag binder for copper and copper-based alloys to the melt beforehand.
The surface of the bars is not polished and therefore appears somewhat dull. Nevertheless, the material is clean and free from impurities.
The molding sand available in our shops is very well suited as a molding compound for brass castings.
