Processing

Pure copper is usually used as a base for alloys such as bronze or brass, but it can also be cast on its own. Pour at 1,150 to 1,200 °C and add slag binder for copper alloys to the melt beforehand. Our moulding sand is suitable as a mould material for copper alloys. The surface is not polished and looks slightly matte, but the material is clean and free of impurities.
