These are clean offcuts from Ms58 profiles, packaged in bags from 1 kg. The material is clean and free from impurities.

Ms58 is a common brass alloy containing 39% zinc and up to 3% lead. It is very suitable for casting and hot forming. The lead content does not affect castability and ensures excellent machinability of the solidified casting.
If the lead content in the alloy is a concern for you, you can also purchase pure copper and pure zinc in convenient quantities from our shops to alloy lead-free brass yourself.
When casting zinc-containing alloys, please note that zinc will evaporate from the melt at temperatures above 907 °C. To prevent a significant decrease in zinc content, the melt should be quickly brought to casting temperature (950-1000°C) and poured.

The molding sand available in our shops is very well suited as a molding material for brass casting.
