This is pure aluminum with 99.0% aluminum content.
Primarily, Al99.0 granules are used as a deoxidizer in the steel industry. However, it is also very well suited for melting and casting, especially if you plan to create your own alloys.
Alternatively, you can find a common aluminum casting alloy, AlSi10Mg(Fe), in our ZGG-Online-Shop.
For ideal casting behavior, we recommend pouring the aluminum at approx. 800°C.
The molding sand available in our shops is very well suited as a molding material for aluminum castings.
