SnCu0.7 Solder in Bars
Composition: 99.3% Tin and 0.7% Copper
Dimensions (LxWxH): 390x14x8mm
Weight per bar: approx. 220g
Melting point: 229°C
Density: 7.3 g/cm³
This offer includes solder (SnCu0.7) in the form of triangular bars.
The bars have approximate dimensions of 390x14x8mm. These may vary, which is why the price is calculated per gram and not per bar. Whole bars are supplied for order quantities of 220g or more; otherwise, parts of bars are supplied. Some bars are marked “SnCu1” instead of “SnCu0.7”. This is a casting error during manufacturing. However, the composition remains SnCu0.7.
The copper content gives the tin better strength compared to pure tin.
The composition is eutectic. This means there is a single melting point and no melting range. The solder therefore does not behave in a pasty manner. It is preferably used in electrical engineering as a substitute for lead-containing tin solders.
For proper preparation of solder joints made of copper or copper alloys, it is recommended to use a suitable soldering flux to achieve an optimal result. One such soldering flux is the Z-02, which you can also obtain from us in an attractive combination with SnCu0.7.
If you need pure tin, you will find the same bars, as well as Sn99.9 pellets and ingots, in our product range.
