The pieces consist of 935 silver with a silver content of 93.5% (remainder copper). The alloy is particularly suitable for precious metal casting. Copper lowers the melting point and casting temperature compared to pure silver and also increases strength. The composition is close to the well-known 925 (92.5% silver and 7.5% copper) sterling silver.

Thanks to the handy piece size, the sections can be easily portioned, melted down, and further processed. The pieces weigh approximately 10 g and measure about 4 × 4 × 65 mm.

The melting range of the alloy is approximately 825–900 °C, depending on the exact composition. The density is about 10.4 g/cm³.
