Graphite Crucible for Electric Furnaces

This offer includes graphite crucibles for common small electric furnaces.
Suitable for almost all common metals and alloys such as aluminum, copper, bronze, brass, tin, and more.

We offer these in three sizes:

*The columns “max. Cu” and “max Al” refer to the maximum capacity in kg, for copper (8.92 g/cm³) and aluminum (2.7 g/cm³)

The crucibles have a small pouring spout and a recess at the top to allow them to be gripped with suitable crucible tongs. These can be purchased in combination with the crucibles. The design is ideally suited for this type of crucible and similarly constructed crucibles. The crucibles can also be used in gas furnaces, but for gas furnaces, we can supply crucibles with a more suitable design.

Our graphite crucibles have the following compositions:

MIG Graphite Crucibles with Spout: 36-46% Graphite, 12-20% SiC + Si, 12-16% Al2O3, 20-28% SiO2
Graphite Crucibles without Spout: Graphite with SiC and SiO content
Graphite Crucible 600 cm³ with Spout: Graphite with SiC and SiO components
Graphite Crucibles for Electric Furnaces: pure graphite (this item)

Due to the higher proportion of ceramic materials, the MIG Graphite Crucibles with Spout are the most heat-resistant and durable, followed by the Graphite Crucibles without Spout and the Graphite Crucible 600cm³ with Spout. The Graphite Crucibles for Electric Furnaces made of pure graphite wear out the fastest.
