Pure Gallium
Purity: 99.995%
Form: Pieces packaged in bags or bottles
Density: 5.9 g/cm³
Melting Point: 29.76°C
The rods shown in the pictures are broken and packaged in bottles or zip-lock bags. This method of transport is necessary due to the melting point of 29.76°C. The “1000g in bottle (one piece)” variant is 1 kg of gallium in bottle packaging according to industrial standard.
It is best to melt the gallium in a plastic bottle or a ceramic crucible, in a warm water bath or with a burner.
Gallium has a very low melting point for metals. It is often used for alloying with other metals such as tin, bismuth, or indium. In some cases, gallium alloys replace toxic mercury-containing mixtures.
For larger quantities, we can procure gallium in granules or 1kg bottles; please contact us via our contact form for this.
Upon request, we will gladly provide you with a certificate of purity for our gallium.
The item is freely available and harmless in itself.
Nevertheless, the following safety warnings must be observed:
H290 – May be corrosive to metals.
H302 – Harmful if swallowed.
H412 – Harmful to aquatic life with long lasting effects.
Note: The phrase H302 primarily applies to the irritation of mucous membranes caused by gallium and gallium alloys. Therefore, the item should not be consumed.
We will send you a safety data sheet for this item upon request.
