The round bars, on the other hand, have fixed dimensions. We specify their length in millimeters, 50 or 100 mm, which is 5 or 10 cm.<\/p>\n

1 kg is available as pieces in a bottle or as a 4N bottle. The difference lies in the documentation, which you receive on request for the pieces and which is included as a certificate with the bottle. Furthermore, the 1 kg bottle already includes the maximum bulk discount of 10% in the price. Melting and storage<\/h2>\n

When melting, liquid gallium must not get into the eyes. You can melt the metal in a plastic bottle in a warm water bath or in a ceramic crucible with a burner. Avoid metal containers, especially those made of aluminum, as the melt can corrode them. Our Al2O3 ceramic crucibles found under melting crucibles<\/a> are sensitive to thermal shock, so heat them gently with a small flame.<\/p>\n

Store the metal sealed, cool, and below the melting point of 29.76\u00b0C. This ensures it remains solid, as in liquid form it leaves stubborn stains on fabric.<\/p>\n

Gallium is harmful if swallowed. Therefore, our gallium products bear the hazard statement H302. What is the difference between Gallium and Galinstan?<\/h3>\n

The pure metal melts at 29.76\u00b0C. Galinstan refers to an alloy with indium and tin that is liquid at room temperature. Our Ga-In-Sn eutectic, consisting of 68.5% gallium, 21.5% indium, and 10% tin, melts at approximately 11\u00b0C and is supplied in syringes or bottles.<\/p>\n
