Its fine grain allows for molding sharp-contoured and smooth surfaces with very high quality. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Technical data for our oil-bonded molding sand:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Compressive strength:<\/strong> 8.0 N\/cm\u00b2<br \/>\n<strong>Transverse strength:<\/strong> 2.2 N\/cm\u00b2<br \/>\n<strong>Gas permeability:<\/strong> 30-35<br \/>\n<strong>Compactability:<\/strong> 64%<br \/>\n<strong>Fineness (AFS): <\/strong>140<br \/>\n<strong>Mean grain size: <\/strong> 0.09 mm<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>For use:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>When making molds, the sand should be well compacted.<\/p>\n<p>To prevent sand from sticking to the object or between mold parts, use talcum or mold release spray as a release agent.<\/p>\n<p>To ensure that all details of the object to be molded are optimally reproduced, we recommend sifting new oil sand finely over the object before filling the mold. This ensures that when compacting, the entire surface of the mold is pressed evenly into the sand. <\/p>\n<p>If you cast metals and alloys with a pouring temperature above 400\u00b0C into the sand, it will burn where it comes into contact with the melt.<\/p>\n<p>To reprocess the burnt sand, use special reprocessing oil and paste. The black oil sand resulting from mixing these can be used as a filler.
