Aluminum bronzes are frequently used in areas where good corrosion resistance, especially against seawater, is an important prerequisite. Ship propellers, but also structural components for chemical plants, are classic examples of applications.<br \/>\nThe pieces are very easy to melt and cast. For ideal casting behavior, we recommend pouring the alloy at 1150-1200\u00b0C and adding slag binder for copper-based alloys to the melt beforehand.<br \/>\nThe surface of the ingots is not polished and therefore somewhat duller.
