It has more optimal mechanical properties than lead-based bearing metals and the lead-free <a href=\"https:\/\/zinn-giesserei-goehler.com\/produkt\/lagermetall-weissmetall-wm89-sn89sb75cu35\/\">WM89<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>The alloy is characterized by good static compressive strength, high corrosion resistance, excellent plain bearing and emergency running properties, as well as good solderability on Cu-Zn-Sn alloys, cast steel, and cast iron.<\/p>\n<p>Emergency running properties mean that a material can withstand mechanical loads in a plain bearing for a short time, even without lubricant, without failing.<\/p>\n<p>The liquidus temperature is approx. 400 \u00b0C (melting temperature). It is recommended to cast the alloy at approx. 450-520 \u00b0C. It has good casting properties in chill molds, silicone rubber and sand.
