It is primarily characterized by its good hot and cold formability. However, you can add 4-7% tin to obtain a lead-free cast bronze with ideal casting properties. This would be a lucrative alternative to CuSn12-C, which contains up to 3% lead for technical reasons.<br \/>\nFor ideal casting behavior, we recommend casting the alloy at 1100-1150\u00b0C and adding slag binder for copper-based alloys to the melt beforehand.<br \/>\nThe surface of the ingots is not polished and therefore somewhat duller.
