It is characterized by its good corrosion resistance and wear resistance.<br \/>\nThe pieces can be melted down and cast very easily. For ideal casting behavior, we recommend pouring the alloy at 1050-1100\u00b0C and adding slag binder for copper-based alloys to the melt beforehand.<br \/>\nFor technical reasons, the alloy contains up to 3% lead. This does not impede the casting process and provides better machinability. If you prefer a lead-free casting bronze, you can also purchase CuSn8 ingots in our shops. If you add another 4-7% tin to this, you will obtain a similar but lead-free alloy with very good casting properties.<br \/>\nThe surface of the ingots is not polished and therefore somewhat matte.
