Release vaseline serves as a release agent when making multi-part silicone molds, separating silicone from silicone as well as silicone rubber from other materials and surfaces when molding original models.

Silicone mold release vaseline is thinly applied during mold making to the already fully cured first half of the silicone mold, and then the newly mixed silicone for the second mold half is poured onto it.
This prevents the two mold halves from sticking together.

Release vaseline is also ideally suited to protect the original model when molding with silicone rubber, to enable easy demolding of the finished silicone impression and to avoid damage, e.g., adhesion and detachment of an existing paint layer on the original model. If high detail accuracy is important, it is more advisable to use our mold release spray for the masters. However, the silicone mold halves should always be treated with release vaseline.

Release vaseline is also important when molding still open-pored materials such as plaster models without a closed surface or unsealed wood surfaces.
Here, release vaseline closes the still open-pored surface, thus preventing applied silicone rubber from flowing into the pores and not being cleanly detached after curing.

Release vaseline is thinly applied with a brush.
Application is easier if the release vaseline is slightly warmed before application.

The release vaseline is pollutant-free.

The Mold Release Spray with Wax is your ideal helper for perfect molds. This silicone-free release agent in a practical spray can is perfectly suited for polyester and epoxy resins, PMMA, and polyurethanes, offering excellent release properties. Simply shake well before use and spray thinly and evenly onto the mold surface from a distance of 20-30 cm. For a perfect result, the release film can be wiped off.

Please note that this release spray is not suitable for separating silicone mold halves in multi-part silicone molds. For this purpose, please use release petroleum jelly or release wax. However, it is very well suited as a release agent between the positive and the silicone mold. It forms a thinner release layer, which allows for high detail accuracy during casting. Of course, this only applies if your positive is not also made of silicone.

Our release spray is safe and environmentally friendly. It is silicone-free and free of CFC propellants. The shelf life is approximately 36 months at a storage temperature of 10° C to 30° C.
