It is significantly softer and tougher than bismuth-containing alloys.

The composition BiIn33 is also eutectic and, with a melting temperature of 109 °C, is the higher-melting eutectic.

This offer includes the higher-melting bismuth-indium eutectic in pellet form. It is a 47°C higher-melting but more affordable alternative to Field’s Metal (62°C), the alloy InBi33.7 (72°C), and lead- and cadmium-containing “Wood’s Metal”.

It can be used in various ways, including as a soldering material and for manufacturing delicate parts and cores.

The composition InBi33.7 is also eutectic and, with a melting temperature of 72°C, is the lower-melting eutectic.

This offer includes the eutectic “Field’s Metal”, composed of Indium, Bismuth, and Tin in pellet form.
Due to its low melting point, it is particularly suitable as a casting alloy and a substitute for lead- and cadmium-containing “Wood’s Metal”. It also serves as solder for glass.
