The tongs are made of sturdy steel. They have an ideal diameter and a jaw shaped to securely grip all common E-furnace graphite crucibles for small furnaces. The handle is made of plastic. A small spring makes opening the tongs easier.

The tongs are affordably available in combination with our E-furnace crucibles.

Our graphite crucibles have the following compositions:

MIG Graphite Crucibles with Spout: 36-46% Graphite, 12-20% SiC + Si, 12-16% Al2O3, 20-28% SiO2
Graphite Crucibles without Spout: Graphite with SiC and SiO content
Graphite Crucible 600 cm³ with Spout: Graphite with SiC and SiO components
Graphite Crucibles for Electric Furnaces: pure graphite (this item)

Due to the higher proportion of ceramic materials, the MIG Graphite Crucibles with Spout are the most heat-resistant and durable, followed by the Graphite Crucibles without Spout and the Graphite Crucible 600cm³ with Spout. The Graphite Crucibles for Electric Furnaces made of pure graphite wear out the fastest.
